About
Hey Ya’ll, Big News!
In case you missed it, we’ve changed the venue for this years Heartland Fiberpalooza. The new location will be at the Winterset Elementary School. (see our directions tab for …wait for it… directions!) The new location is going to be great. Tons of floor space in the gym for vendors and a great kitchen/cafeteria for Cafe Yarnia (which will undoubtedly be fantastic just as is has been in the past). We will also have a great space for classes and demonstrations. We hope you have been working all winter on knitting down your stash. You’re going to need room for all the amazing fibers that will find their way into your heart.
While you’re here check out the updated vendor list. Make sure you see your favorite fiber artist and if not, call them and tell them to hurry and send in their registration. There are a few spots left. Wait, what’s that you say? You don’t have a favorite fiber artist. Well, come on down (or up) to Fiberpalooza, you’re sure to find one here!
As always, if you have any questions, please feel free to call 515-468-8593, or stop by the store at 107 North John Wayne Drive, in Winterset.

What kinds of vendor opportunities do you have. Several friends and I have a number of hand knitted items we’d like to sell.

You get a 10×10 booth for the bargain price of $50! The application form is under the tab vendor application form. You can print it and mail it in to the address listed on the form. If you have more specific questions, you can contact Marcia and Amy at 515-468-8593 or email at manda@heartlandfiber.com. They would love to talk to you about the types of items you would like to peddle.

Can a vendor have 2 spaces? Is the building lighted well? I have equipment, supplies, and books, for spinning, weaving, knitting etc. all fiber arts. my set up takes 10 x20 feet. I don’t need a table.
Jan 19, 2012 @ 22:00:28
Wonderful! You can absolutely have two spaces. Call us to set up arrangements. 515.468.8593. The building is very well lit. Lots of natural light.

I don’t yet have enough items for sale to be a vendor, but I would love to attend. How much does it cost to stroll through?
Mar 02, 2011 @ 14:37:31
Great question Tasha! The cost of admission is $3.00. About the same as a Starbucks Venti Caffe Mocha – but 0 calories and so much better for your soul! We are looking forward to seeing you there!

Do we need to register for the classes ahead of time?
Mar 07, 2011 @ 03:18:42
It’s best if you register ahead of time (contact Marcia and Amy at 515-468-8593 or email at manda@heartlandfiber.com) that way they can make sure there are enough materials for everyone. However, if you show up and there is space and materials available they won’t turn you away.

Enjoyed the ability to have some “me” time. I thought you had a great first time event and especially enjoyed visiting with your vendors Thank you! BTW, I seemed to have misplace my ocelot print gloves (not knitted). Did they show up any where?

I had a lovely time as a first time vendor, or “Vendor Virgin” as I jokingly called myself. Everyone was very supportive and helpful with the setup and tear down and everything in-between. The food was wonderful, the building perfect and the vendors pleasant. I would certainly love to come back next year and do it again.
